It says there is no core deposit but does that mean we can keep our original engine?
The 5158048AD currently has no core deposit.
As a remanufactured engine, I would like to know more.

This is a new not remanufactured engine. Thank you.
Hello. Tried to send a message yesterday but not certain it went through. Anyway, I am interested in one of these engines and have a few questions below:
1) What type of running time/hrs do these engines typically have?
2) What is the difference between the “AD” and the “AF” engine models?
3) For clarification, are the engines fully cover crated?
4) Do you ship to the ports of NYC?
5) What is the shipping time frame from time of purchase?
Thank you, Dugen

The canned answer did not address all my questions but I do need to know if the engine is shipped drained of all fluids. Please answer this question specifically as the canned answer will not suffice.
Thank you, Dugen
The Mopar 3.0L Eco-Diesel is shipped with engine oil installed.
Is this a stand alone crate engine and wiring harness that can be used to repower my 1961 Willys Wagon?
That is a great question but unfortunately this would be a major undertaking to try and replicate the modern emissions and sensors required to make the engine run. We do have an alternative in the 5.9L 12 valve, mechanical, Cummins complete running engine where this could be done much easier and doesn’t require much wiring or adaptation. Please visit https://moparpowertrain.com/product/r8464881aa-5-9l-cummins-diesel-reman-long-block-copy/ and check out the new low price and instant rebate. Thank you.
Other than the EGR what other components are updated. I had a Cam gear slip and I am curious if it has been updated.
This motor has all of the known issues addressed. There has been no evidence or information conveyed to us of a cam gear slippage issue. Mopar is very confident in their products and they do carry the 3 year / 100,000 miles Nationwide limited warranty parts and labor if installed by a valid service center. This warranty is valid at any FCA franchised dealer in the United States. Thank you.
Hi When this engine is back on stock ?
We currently have 12 in stock as of 12/28/2020.
What transmission would I need for this engine ? I have the 3.6 gas v6 would that transmission work ? With this engine?
You would need an 8 speed (8HP70) transmission to mate to the 3.0L Eco-diesel. The transmission in a 3.6L Pentastar configuration either had a 6 speed (65RFE) or an 8 speed (845RFE). These are not compatible mounting to the Eco-diesel and they have specialized and unique modules and sensors not found in a vehicle built with a 3.6L gas engine.
I have a 2014 which just experienced a runaway condition which I am told is unheard of but I can tell you first hand it happened. This looks as if it is the replacement engine for the one that shelled itself. I am not comfortable with spending 7500.00 without talking to someone about this prior to purchase and also would like to know what all is upgraded on these engines as you state above issues are fixed, which issues other then the EGR valve? Do you still have this engine in stock? How can I get a hold of someone? I called and left a message today and still no call back. Please LMK.
Great talking to you to find out what happened. The injection pump malfunctioned causing a runaway condition which caused the engine failure. The new engine has all of the latest updates including a brand new injection pump and fuel system. Congratulations on your purchase.
What’s the difference between engines ending in AE vs AF, besides the fact AE says 14-16 and AF says 17 to classic.. Aren’t all engines from 14-19 the same. And Plz no cookie cutter answer
Excellent question Steven. The wiring harness and engine tuning for the AF level part applies to vehicles built 2019+. Other than that they are identical engines. The AF level also requires a core deposit of $1000 where the AD/AE level does not. Thank you.
